We take the M4 motorway towards Bristol, then after some visits to interesting places, head down to North Devon where we stay for two nights in comfortable self-catering caravans located on the Bristol Channel coast: these caravans are ideal for my groups as they are inexpensive, y
et students can choose their preferred accommodation, either in double, twin or single rooms. All homes have all facilities, including bathroom, shower, kitchen, lounge and TV, and have central heating.
On Saturday we take the tourist route first to the tiny ancient fishing village of Boscastle, then Tintagel, the home of the legendary King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table, and later visit the pretty fishing village of Port Isaac - if you like fresh crab, this is the perfect place to try it, fresh from the fishing boats!
After these coastal resorts, plus the pretty south coast fishing village of Polperro, we tour inland, past Launceston and return to Westward Ho! early evening, where everyone can have a lively evening out at the local live music pub.
On Sunday morning we take a beautiful drive through famous Dartmoor National Park and head along the south coast towards London, visiting the lovely resorts of Budleigh Salterton and Lyme Regis on the way. Back in London about 20:30.
A delightful, relaxing trip - except for Saturday night "on the town"!
